"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

finally got some pics.. presenting my nieces jesse and jenna!

they were born tuesday, july 19th at 8:08 pm and 8:35 pm weighing 4 lbs 15 oz and 5 lbs 7 oz, and, most importantly, healthy and already loved by dozens.

i couldn’t resist a pic of their gorgeous older sis kiyra – i can’t believe how much she’s grown since i’ve seen her last!

my sister asked me to be godmother to one of them ~ and of course i couldn’t pick, so she chose jesse for me. wow!
as for the names, jesse is my dad’s name, one she always loved for boy or girl, and since she was little my sister just loved the name jenna. they’re doing well so far, and i don’t know how my sister manages it, but she sounds just radiant over the phone, really truly happy. yay, she and her husband are so ready for a family, and it just couldn’t happen to nicer happier people.
in just under a month, i get to spend a whole ten days with them. and i’m now an aunt to 5 kids! crrrazy cool, huh?

awwwwwww! look at the cuties! welcome, Jesse. welcome, Jenna. i’m so happy for you and your family. congratulations!!
does this mean having twins is a genetic trait for you?
~ meowgirl
Cutie patrol! Awwww!
Meowgirl asks a good question, about all the twin-ness. What’s the scoop?
~ Miri
yay twins! congratulations.
~ karen
yup, twins run in my family! but since they usually skip a generation, it’s more likely that my children will have twins than i’ll have twins. i’d loooove to have twins (one far far day in the future) though, and my sister is just tickled pink about hers…
now we just gotta figure out what to call the “original” twins, my sisters, versus the “new” twins, my nieces ;)
~ andrea
We had some friends that were “big Tom” and “little Tom” so you could do “big twins” etc. But your sisters probably wouldn’t love that :)
Anyway congratulations, those babies are adorable and their big sister is too!
~ Heidi
The twins are truly newborm cuties, but Kiyra is beautiful! You should be a very proud auntie!
~ Samantha
congrats! they are so adorable :)
~ Moni
Soooo cute! Almost makes me want one (yeah, right!). Are they identical?
Congrats, Auntie Andrea. :)
~ Liz
nope, fraternal. though in my family, that often means “pretty-near-identical”. growing up, only the immediate family members could tell my fraternal twin sisters apart – it was funny how often other people would insist that my sisters
had to be identical, they looked so very similar. ;)
~ andrea
congratulations on being an aunt. the twins are adorable!
~ winnie
i’m with the others: awwwww! babies! congrats!
~ kris

They just need there little yellow outfits now. :)

They are all so beautiful! Congratulations! Being an aunt is way cool. When they’re older they’ll come and visit you by themselves. Like 13 and 7. Like 2 weeks ago. Am I scaring you?
;-) It was wonderful-
they were very fun. You’ve got all of that to look forward to-and a great visit shortly.
~ Collette
