it’s knit out of some yarn i bought way back when i first started knitting, not realizing (and not told by the destasher, ahem) that it was rug yarn and therefore incredibly scratchy. but i’ve decided i’ll just wear it on the days i don’t feel like being hugged. it’ll be my first defense.
hope your tuesday is a happy & relaxed one ~
Well, it looks lovely and hopefully there will be lots of cold VA days to come for you to wear it. The rug yarn did give it a lot of nice body for the jacket.
Though my god, how did you get FO photos with DC’s heat wave?
cute pattern, looks great! Luckily the weather will get much cooler at the end of the week!

I love it, and you can’t tell scratchiness from photos. ;)
It looks beautiful! Maybe it’ll soften up with wear?

It’s adorable. I have been considering this pattern & now I really want to make it! I hope that yours softens up – it really looks great on you. Great job!

I too am knitting this sweater in a not too soft yarn. Yours is gorgeous – as mosts your FOs are!

andrea – scratchy or not, it’s beautiful! the colour and texture of the yarn works so well with the pattern, and you look smashing in it!

Beautiful. The so-called rug yarn gives it a better drape than others I’ve seen. Hope it keeps you warm (and doesn’t itch too much!) :)

I agree! Scratchy or not, it is Super cute! I love it!

This sweater is gorgeous- and so cozy looking! It doesn’t look overly scratchy at all. I would still hug ya! ;)

I just “favorited” (verb?) your version of this knit on Ravelry. It’s fantastic, and the color is perfect.
