at the end of the day:
how it began: a few days ago, a modest quilt shopping experience – half a dozen fat quarters, two new books, two used books ($3 each!).
[books: dear jane (heidi piqued my interest in this a while back), the modern quilt workshop, advanced quilting (won’t apply to me for a looooong time, but i like looking at it), and intro to quiltmaking (the last pic up on the right is from it; the quilts are by deidre amsden. the curvy lines in the third one are particularly beautiful).]
then, i found out about a somewhat-local quilt show:

turns out i have a weakness for civil war reproduction fabrics. eek!
